This is the end of my first session, I will be getting the shading done in January. This tattoo means the world to me. I recently went through a year long court case. On August 4th, 2010, I heard a judge sentence my step-father 31 years to life for sexually abusing my little sister and myself for many years when we were children. This tattoo is a reminder to myself: i am a strong person, the love and strength my family experienced over the last year, and that (as the quote states) I am bigger than everything that came before, and I learn and grow as a person with each day that passes.

Oh wow. I actually kinda know this person…well, we met once. But I know their story and I’m really glad it had a somewhat happy ending. Sometimes the justice system works to our favor.
Isn’t it weird how I could just read the story and know exactly who this person is? Especially since I heard the story through other people and I barely even know this person…
